Kotaro Suzuki was born on October 10, 1978 in Tokyo. He has got his disability called cerebral palsy at his birth because of the lack of oxygen during the 8th month of his mother's pregnancy.

In 1985, Kotaro started to go to Kirigaoka school for physically disabled children, and he spent 9 full years until he got to high school age.

He went to one of public high school in Tokyo in 1994, and graduated with high school diploma in the spring of 1997. During this period, he lost his eyesight on the left, and it has become continual disease.

Although he tried to enter colleges, he failed all the exams. He had to spend one year to pass the exam in the next year. Kotaro says," A year of 96-97 was probably the worst segment of my life."

In 1998, his mother, Sawako, gave him a chance to go study overseas in the United States. Then, Kotaro entered preparation school called Nevada-California International Consortium of universities and colleges (NIC.)

It was June of 1999 that he became a student of University of Nevada Reno in Sociology major. However, He decided to change it to International Affairs in 2000.

This year should be his 6th year in he school, but no body knows when he is going to get his degree. "Even God doesn't know..."
